About Tuba Archery

About the Club

We were established in the summer of 2005 following a successful open day. Since then the club has grown and grown. Our primary aim is to help people come to love the sport of archery and then allow them to develop their skills in a supportive and energetic environment.

We are dedicated to reigniting a love for archery and reconnecting to our proud heriage.

The Club meets regulary on Sundays for training, games and competitions. We also encourage members to join organisations such as GNAS or the NFAS so that they can mix with the wider archery community to share knowledge and experience. Our style differs in that we use the traditional Eastern or "Mongolian" draw which involves drawing the bow-string with our thumbs rather than with our fingers. As well as target archery some members also get involved with field archery, horseback archery and flight shooting.
